China to reopen 2 border points for trade in Nepal: Li Zhanshu

15 Sep, Kathmandu: Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of China, Li Zhanshu is on a four-day visit here in Nepal.

During a meeting between the speaker of the Chinese National People’s Congress, Li Zhanshu and President Bidya Devi Bhandari, the 2 border points at Tatopani and Rasuwagadi will be opened as soon as possible.

Communication expert, Tika Dhakal further stated that Li also put forward the statement with President Xi Jinping about reopening the two border points for trade with Nepal.

The border points have been shut since the covid pandemic, creating numerous issues and problems for Nepali traders, finally being heard by the Nepal government.
