28 February, Makwanpur: A local ward member died when an electric pole fell on Manadmar of Bakaiya Rural Municipality-7 of Makwanpur.
DSP Lakshmi Bhandari informed that the deceased was 40-year-old Ram Kumar Titung, a ward member of the same ward.
He was first taken to Chure Hill Hospital in Hetauda for treatment when an electric pole suddenly fell on him while he was walking in front of his house at 1:30 pm on February 27. Later, he was taken to a medical college in Bharatpur on the same day and he died on February 28 during the treatment.
Bhandari said that the body of the deceased Titung is at the same hospital and the police are investigating the incident.
