07 September, KATHMANDU : A rape complaint has been filed against Sandeep Lamichhane, captain of the national cricket team.
It has been reported that 22-year-old Lamichhane, who now resides in Budhanilkantha, visited various places in Kathmandu and Bhaktapur with the 17-year-old girl on August 21, 2022. Finally, he took her to room no. 305 in a hotel in Kathmandu around 23:55. At 00:25, a complaint was filed at the Gaushala police station, stating that she had been raped several times.
The complaint was registered by the police and the victim was taken to the One Door Crisis Management Center (OCMC) for a comprehensive health examination.
Using various methods and techniques of investigation, the police team deployed jointly from District Police Complex Kathmandu and Gaushala Police is conducting further investigation into the incident.
