SEE supplementary (grade increment exam) to begin on July 7

01 July, Kathmandu: The Secondary Education Examination (SEE) supplementary exams for grade improvement are set to commence on July 7, as announced by the National Examination Board, Examination Control Office (Class 10), and the Ministry of Education.

In a meeting held on Sunday, officials confirmed the start date for the supplementary exams, aiming to support students who need to improve their grades. “We have decided to conduct the grade improvement exams from July 7. The board will prepare accordingly,” stated Keshav Prasad Dahal, spokesperson for the ministry.

Previously, the board had scheduled exams on July 2 and 3 for students who were non-graded (failed) in up to two subjects. However, this schedule was revised following the ministry’s decision on Friday to allow students non-graded in more than two subjects to participate in the exams.

The ministry has committed to publishing the results within the first week of October to reduce the educational gap between students who have already passed and those taking supplementary exams. Spokesperson Dahal expressed confidence that “the results and question paper preparation will be faster and of higher quality once other tasks are completed by the provinces.”

According to the SEE results published on Thursday, a total of 242,313 students were non-graded, underscoring the significance of the upcoming supplementary exams.
