07 January, Kathmandu: A meeting of the Nepali Congress (NC) Parliamentary Party will be taking place at 1:00 pm today.
Before the meeting schedule, party President Sher Bahadur Deuba sat for a meeting with the party office bearers on Friday.
At the meeting held at Deuba’s residence, Vice-Presidents Purna Bahadur Khadka and Dhan Raj Gurung, General Secretaries Gagan Kumar Thapa and Bishwa Prakash Sharma and Chief Whip Ramesh Lekhak were present.
The session of the House of Representatives (HoR) will be commencing on January 9 following the November 20 elections to the HoR and the Province Assembly.
The NC winning the highest- 89 seats in the lower house will be staying in the main opposition with the appointment of CPN (Maoist Centre) Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal as the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister will be seeking a vote of confidence in the HoR on coming January 10.
