20 December, Haripur : In Sarlahi’s Haripur municipality, a young man set fire to his own house, causing damages worth more than Rs. 1.5 million.
Deepak Neupane, son of Kumbhamaya Baral Neupane of Haripur-2 Sano Jagatpur in the central part of the district, set fire to his house on Monday night.
Inspector Vijay Kunwar, Police Spokesperson of Sarlahi District Police Office, informed that the two-storied house made of brick and wood was completely burnt down. Police inspector Kunwar said that an investigation is being carried out at the moment.
The fire was brought under control with the help of locals, police and fire brigade from Hariwan municipality.
