22November, Kathmandu: Damodar Poudel (Bairagi) of the Communist Party of Nepal (UML) is leading in the election for the members of the House of Representatives and the Provincial Assembly in Kaski Region No. 3.
Poudel got 4,851 votes, surpassing the National Independent Party candidate Yograj Paudel, who has been ahead since the beginning of the counting of votes in the district coordination committee’s hall at Pokhara-7 Shaheed Chowk.
While Yograj was following with 4,407 votes, Ramji Prasad Baral of CPN (Maoist Centre) got 3,207 votes.
The counting votes for the House of Representatives of Pokhara Metropolitan City-1, 2, 3, 18 and 19 has been completed so far. 61,614 votes were cast out of a total of 11,715 voters. In Kaski-3, 15 candidates from different political parties and independent candidates are in the election field for the members of the House of Representatives.
There were 139,042 male, 153,522 female and 179,966 votes cast in Kaski, which has three constituencies of the House of Representatives and six constituencies of the State Assembly.
