Mountain flight resumes after three years

27 September, KATHMANDU : With coronavirus under control, tourism activities are beginning to return to normal .

After a hiatus of three years, Nepal’s private airlines are resuming mountain flights.

It follows a slight rebound in tourism affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

Joining the bandwagon, Shree Airlines too has resumed its mountain flights which are operated in the mornings.

Spokesperson of Shree Airlines, Anil Manandhar, said that the airline restarted mountain flights keeping in mind the convenience of tourists after the situation started returning to normal.

The airlines is planning to fly its CRJ 200 series aircraft for mountain flights.

The sight-seeing flight will reach an altitude of 25,000 feet.

A charge of Rs 15,000 per person has been fixed for Nepali nationals while foreigners will need to pay $ 230 for the 50-minute flight.

The flight service starts at 6:30 am every day.
