Royal Enfield Launches The Scram 411

Royal Enfield Launches The Scram 411

20 March, KATHMANDU : Royal Enfield recently launched the Scram 411 in India. The scrambler-type motorcycle is the naked version of its elder sibling–the Himalayan. The newest addition borrows most of the mechanical specifications from its predecessor and comes at a more affordable price–starting from INR 2.03 lakh (and going up to INR 2.08 lakh).

Design

The Scram 411 borrows a lot of design cues from the Himalayan, but the windscreen and metal frame on the sides of the fuel tank have been omitted. The bike gets a metal headlamp cowl, revised instrument console, unibody seat, and some badging on the sides that are different from the Himalayan’s.

Furthermore, the bike gets the same chassis but smaller 19-inch wheels and a lower seat height than that of the Himalayan.

Engine

Powering the Scram is a 411cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, fuel-injected engine that is capable of generating 24.3 bhp power and a torque of 32 Nm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed constant mesh transmission.

The bike comes with an electric starting system only.
