28 June, Sindhupalchok : The Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Japan, Tochigi Regional Committee has provided financial assistance of Rs 111 thousand 111 to the Helambu rural municipality.
Sujan Dulal and Bimal Bahadur BC deposited the amount in the rural municipality’s relief and rehabilitation fund, Committee coordinator Mandip Chhetri said. The Committee has expressed the belief that the financial assistance will contribute towards providing relief to the flood-affected poor families in the rural municipality.
Flash floods in the local Indrawati and Melamchi rivulets on June 15 killed five people while displacing more than 400 families in Helambu and Melamchi area.
